The impact of using Faybric® is significant.
Faybric®'s raw material of choice is partially derived from plants and uses 30 percent less energy and emits 50 percent fewer greenhouse gases than nylon produced from non-renewable resources. In this day and age, that's a good thing.
Waste in this industry is getting worse and worse.
Buy, use, throw away, buy again,..,
The very nature of fashion is wasteful.
Consumers are buying 60% more clothing in the 21st century and keeping it half as long as they did 20 years ago.

An environmental imperative
Plastic microfiber pollution is a pervasive problem.
Over 60% of today’s textiles are made with synthetic fibers1: from clothing and carpets to pillows and towels, and more. These synthetic fibers, including polyester and nylon, are composed of plastics which, when released into the environment, can remain indefinitely because they are not inherently biodegradable.

Considering that an average household generates approximately 44 pounds of dust a year 13 of which consist of microfibers from synthetic clothing2, carpets and furniture — the environmental impacts to our Earth can be staggering.

As a result, we were determined to invent an environmentally friendly solution to help alleviate the problem of plastic microfiber contamination. That solution is the Faybric® Eco-Fabric Solution.

Solutions that mimic nature
The raw materials of the Faybric Eco range achieve this by selecting raw materials that can embed countless biodegradable dots in the plastic matrix. These points act as a nutrient source for naturally occurring microorganisms in the environment.

This means that when textiles made with the Faybric® Eco range end up in an environment where biodegradation can occur naturally, the microorganisms are attracted to these fibres and mineralize them at a rate comparable to that of natural fibres such as wool.

Rigorously tested for safety & efficacy
The selection of materials for Faybric's eco-friendly range of textiles is based in part on the recycling of plastic bottles and the recycling of used fabrics, thereby reducing the impact on the planet's environment, and is certified by schemes such as GRS and OEKO to ensure the provenance of the fabrics we produce, as well as their high performance standards.
